Welcome to Pet's Deary. Please read these terms before using the service. By downloading and using the app, or by completing the "Starlight Mailbox" experience on this website, you agree to these terms.
1. What the Service Is
Pet's Deary (寵·愛·日記) is a companion app for you and your pets, made of two equally important parts:
- Diary & memories— record your pet's everyday moments, photos and words, building a keepsake album you can hold on to for a long time.
- Letters — you write a letter to your pet, and the service replies in their voice. The reply is generated by AI (Google Gemini).
You are welcome to use the service whether your pet is still by your side or has already gone on ahead.
The app is currently available on the iOS App Store in selected countries and regions (the App Store listing shows where); the Android version is still in closed testing. This website also offers a one-time "Starlight Mailbox" experience, so you can try writing a letter and receiving a reply before downloading.
2. Accounts and Sign-in
You can sign in with LINE, Google or Apple (Apple sign-in is available on iOS only). We never receive or store your passwords for those services.
Please always use the same sign-in method. Each sign-in method maps to its own separate account, and accounts are not merged automatically even when the email address is the same. For example, signing in to the app with LINE and to the website with Google creates two different accounts, and diaries and letters are not shared between them. There is currently no account-merge feature.
3. AI Content Disclaimer
Replies in the letters feature are produced by an algorithmand do not represent your pet's actual consciousness or will.
- A reply is a form of companionship and writing — not "real communication" with your pet, and not a psychic or mediumship service.
- AI may occasionally produce content that is inaccurate, illogical or upsetting.
- Replies are not a substitute for counselling, veterinary care, medical advice or legal advice.
The diary and memories hold what you yourself write and the photos you upload — no AI generation is involved there.
4. Subscriptions and Payment
The service offers one free plan and three paid subscriptions: Free (繁星起點), Basic (暖心陪伴), Premium (永恆羈絆) and Sanctuary (靈魂典藏). The plans differ in the number of pet profiles, storage space and letter cooldown time; the actual features and prices are as shown on the "Plans" page inside the app (prices are charged in the App Store currency of your region).
- Subscriptions are purchased through App Store in-app purchase, and payment is collected by Apple.
- Subscriptions renew automatically. If you do not want to renew, cancel in your App Store account settings at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Cancelling a subscription, requesting a refund and changing your payment method are all handled in your App Store account settings — we are unable to process refunds on your behalf.
- After a subscription expires or is cancelled, the diaries, memories and letters you have already written are not deleted, but you will no longer be able to add content beyond the free plan's limits.
5. Age Restriction
This service includes AI-generated content and may touch on emotional themes around parting with a pet. It is for users aged 18 and over only. Please do not let minors use it.
6. What You Must Not Do
When using the service, please do not:
- submit content that is illegal, violent, pornographic, hateful, or that encourages suicide
- attempt to crack, attack, or overload our service with excessive requests
- use bots, crawlers or other automated tools to mass-register accounts or send letters
- verify with someone else's phone number, or access another person's account or data without authorization
- alter AI reply content and circulate it in a way that misleads others into believing it is a message from a real pet
If you violate any of these, we may suspend or terminate your access, and we reserve the right to pursue the matter under applicable law.
7. Intellectual Property
The letters you write, your diary entries, the photos you upload and the pet information you provide remain your copyright. You grant us a licence to use this content only to the extent needed to provide the service — including storing it, displaying it on your devices, generating AI replies, and, after de-identification, using it for analysis to improve reply quality.
You are free to read, share, print and keep the AI-generated replies. The Pet's Deary brand name, logo and design elements belong to us.
8. Changes to and Termination of the Service
We may modify, suspend or discontinue all or part of the service. For major changes that affect paid plans, we will give advance notice through the app and by updating this page.
If a free-plan account goes unused for a long time, we will first send a reminder email, and only after that move its content into an archived state. Archiving is not deletion — you can come back and reactivate for free at any time.
You may stop using the service at any time. To delete your personal data, see the Data Deletion Instructions, or email petsdeary@gmail.com.
9. Limitation of Liability
The service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee:
- the accuracy, appropriateness or therapeutic effect of AI replies
- that the service will be 100% uninterrupted or error-free
- that your data is completely secure (although we do our best — see section 7 of the Privacy Policy)
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from use of the service.

10. Governing Law
The service is operated from Taiwan, so these terms are interpreted and governed under the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to the Taiwan Taipei District Court as the court of first instance.
